Red Deer Players Society (RDP) is a not-for-profit community theatre group, also registered as a charitable society, based in Red Deer Alberta. We first came together in early 2014 to stage a Reader’s Theatre production. Following this humble beginning, the group moved on to do more serious dramatic theatre productions. Community theatre is about more than being on stage. We commit to providing training and mentoring in all aspects of theatre such as acting, design, construction, technical and others areas related to theatre. We endeavour to fill the time between productions to host workshops and create mentorship opportunities. We also invest in the future of the theatre arts by awarding the Carole Forhan Theatre Arts Scholarship to a deserving young person in our community on a yearly basis.
